If you're lucky, your slowtorespond home button is due to a software glitch. To find out, you'll need to calibrate your home button. Here's how:
Open up a stock app, like the Clock. Hold down the sleep button until "Slide to power off" appears. When it does, let go of the sleep button and hold down the home button. After about 510 seconds, the app will close.
If this solved your problem, you are one lucky iPhone owner. If it didn't you may want to try restoring 13:37:23 01/06/13

- No:10869 * In Safari or in any app that your on? In Safari it's the back arrow on the bottom. But if you wanted to go back to the last app/page you were on, double press the Home screen and the multitask will pop up showing the list of apps you opened recently, the one on the left being your last app (last screen you were on). Just tap on that app and it'll take you back. 13:27:07 01/06/13
